Daniel Story, Prayer Greetings Card
Full Description
A 148mm x 148mm card depicting key aspects of the story of Daniel.
From my "Grace" series, featuring images exploring well-known characters in Scripture, this card is a print from my original textile art.
This design is called "Ordinary Faith, Extraordinary Life".
The centre crystal represents God at the heart of Daniel’s life. The circle is the "line in the sand", Daniel drew regarding adherence to his faith. The fruit, vegetables and scrolls of learning are the basis of Daniel’s ordinary life of faithful obedience to God that enables him to survive extraordinary times. The flames show the fiery furnace that his friends were protected from. The stars and moon reference Daniel’s God-given ability to interpret dreams. The lion is symbolic of Daniel’s connection to the tribe of Judah, survival in the lion’s den, reference to Jesus as the Lion of Judah, and Daniel’s vision in Revelation. Daniel kneels before the open window in defiance of an edict to worship the Babylonian king.
Living a rhythm of ordinary faith empowers us all to encounter and survive extraordinary things, through God.
It is blank inside, suitable for a variety of occasions, is printed on 300gsm card and is packaged in a compostable cellophane sealed bag.
