1. About Christian Makers
Christian Makers is a curated UK marketplace celebrating independent Christian makers and small businesses. We are run by Christian Makers Ltd, registered in England and Wales.
Company name: Christian Makers Ltd
Company number: 17163613
Registered address: 114 East Wichel Way, Swindon, England, SN1 7AE
Email: hello@christianmakers.com
2. About these Terms
These Terms and Conditions explain how our marketplace works and what you can expect from us when you shop here. Please take a moment to read them - they apply every time you visit or make a purchase on christianmakers.com.
We may update these Terms occasionally. When we do, the date at the top of this page will change. Continuing to use the site after any update means you are happy with the revised Terms.
3. Our marketplace
Every product on Christian Makers is made and sold by an independent Seller. When you place an order, your purchase agreement is with that Seller directly. Christian Makers Ltd runs the platform that connects you with them, but the goods travel from Seller to you.
Our Sellers are carefully chosen, and we are proud of the community we are building. That said, we do not make or stock the products ourselves, so individual Sellers carry responsibility for their listings and for getting your order to you safely.
We are always here if something goes wrong. Drop us a line at hello@christianmakers.com and we will help find a way forward.
4. Shopping with us
To place an order on Christian Makers, you need to:
- be 18 or over (or shopping with a parent or guardian's permission);
- be based in the United Kingdom; and
- provide accurate details at checkout.
5. Your account
If you create an account with us, please keep your login details safe and do not share them. If you think someone else has accessed your account, let us know at hello@christianmakers.com right away and we will help you secure it.
We may need to suspend or close an account if we have good reason to believe it has been misused.
6. Prices and listings
Each Seller sets and manages their own prices and product descriptions. All prices are shown in pounds sterling and include VAT where applicable.
We do our best to keep the marketplace accurate, but individual listing details are the Seller's responsibility. If a pricing error comes to light before your order is dispatched, we will get in touch to give you the choice of paying the correct price or receiving a full refund.
7. Placing your order
When you submit an order, you are offering to buy the product at the price shown. Once we have received it, you will get a confirmation email. Your agreement with the Seller is in place from that moment.
If your order cannot be fulfilled for any reason, we will let you know by email and make sure you are fully refunded.
8. Payment
Payment is taken when you place your order. We accept [payment methods — confirm before publishing]. Your payment details go directly to our payment provider and are never stored by us.
9. Delivery
Delivery is handled by each individual Seller. Any timeframes shown on listings are good-faith estimates rather than guarantees, and delays caused by postal services or couriers are outside our control.
Not every Seller delivers everywhere in the UK. You can check whether a Seller ships to Mainland UK and/or Northern Ireland on their profile page before you order.
Some Sellers offer express shipping. Where this is available, it will be shown on the listing or Seller profile, and any extra cost will be clearly displayed at checkout before you confirm.
10. Personalised and made-to-order items
Many of our Sellers create personalised or made-to-order pieces - it is one of the things that makes shopping here special. Please read individual listings carefully, as these items may take a little longer to produce.
Please also note that the cancellation rights described in Section 11 do not apply to items made specifically to your requirements, unless something arrives faulty or not as described.
11. Returns and refunds
Your rights as a consumer are fully protected and nothing here changes that.
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you can cancel most orders within 14 days of receiving them and return items within a further 14 days. Personalised or bespoke items are an exception to this (see Section 10), unless they arrive faulty.
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, you are entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund if an item is faulty, not as described, or unfit for purpose.
If something arrives wrong or damaged, please email hello@christianmakers.com within [X days] with your order number and a description of the problem, and we will take it from there.
To start any return, get in touch at hello@christianmakers.com. [Return postage responsibility]
Refunds will be processed within [X days] of a return being agreed. [Confirm]
Please send returns to: [Return address — confirm]
Our [Shipping & Returns Policy] has everything you need to know in one place.
12. The website
We work hard to keep christianmakers.com running smoothly, but like any website, we cannot promise it will be available around the clock or entirely error-free. Occasional downtime for maintenance or updates may be necessary.
Information on the site is for general guidance. Product descriptions and claims belong to individual Sellers. Any links to other websites are there for your convenience and do not mean we endorse what you find there.
13. Our content
Everything you see on this website - words, images, logos, and design - belongs to Christian Makers Ltd or to the Sellers who created it. Please do not copy or reproduce any of it without asking us first.
Sellers retain full ownership of their own original designs and creative work.
14. Using the site responsibly
We ask everyone who uses Christian Makers to behave with honesty and care. Please do not:
- act in a way that breaks any law or regulation;
- submit dishonest or misleading reviews;
- use the site to send unsolicited messages or spam;
- upload anything harmful or malicious;
- attempt to access any part of the site you are not authorised to use.
15. If things go wrong
If you have a concern about a Seller or an order, we are your first port of call. Email hello@christianmakers.com and we will do everything we can to help.
If your issue is with Christian Makers Ltd itself, please come to us first and give us the chance to put things right. If we cannot resolve it between us, we are open to mediation or other forms of alternative dispute resolution. You can also get free advice from your local Trading Standards service at tradingstandards.uk.
16. Liability
We will always accept responsibility where the law requires us to - including for any harm caused by our negligence or for fraud.
Beyond that, please be aware that Christian Makers Ltd cannot be held responsible for the actions of individual Sellers, for losses that could not reasonably have been predicted when you placed your order, or for any indirect losses. Our marketplace is designed for personal, non-commercial shopping.
17. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you are also entitled to bring any claim in your local courts.
