Large Scale Hand-cut Poppy Papercut - Isaiah 35:1

A large scale, 12x16 inch poppy papercut, in a minimalistic style, hand-drawn and hand-cut with a scalpel. 

This piece was inspired by my love of wild flowers, especially those that burst through barren land and are found on roadsides (Isaiah 35:1). I sketched the design out in pencil and then lovingly cut out each one by hand with a scalpel. I much prefer to hand-cut each piece, making it individual and with character; the process is meditative and reminds me of how God carves away at each of our lives individually to create something beautiful too. Wild flowers are also a constant reminder to me of God’s tender care for us; as He clothes the fields with flowers, so will He provide for us.

The papercut would make a lovely gift or feature piece in your own home. It's cut from acid-free, environmentally friendly, 160gsm thick white paper. 

It comes unframed, with a coloured, light fast, acid-free background sheet. It’s available with a choice of background colours, but feel free to contact me if you’d like a different colour.

It comes against mountboard, but due to its size will also be posted against some hardboard to ensure it stays flat in the post and reaches you in good condition. 

As every one is individually hand-made, there may be slight variations between them, making each piece unique and original.

The exact colour may look slightly different depending on the colour calibration of your monitor, but it should be pretty close!
