Resurface - Original Abstract Canvas

"Resurface" is a mix of flowing water and striking metallic. There is so much to find in this painting, like looking through a window into another possible future, or following the streams of water from top to bottom. When I was painting this piece I was wrestling with ideas of forgiveness, redemption and starting over whilst being stuck in old ways. The process of painting became a breakthrough for me, as I considered second chances and new life, particularly the idea of coming up out of the waters of baptism, resurfacing, feeling refreshed and transformed.
