Meet the Maker

Hello! I'm Susanna, and I wear many hats - artist, designer, Christian, pastor's wife, mum, brownie maker, and, fun fact, sometimes paid to dress up as someone from the 1900s in our local living history museum.

I believe we were created in the image of our amazing Creator God who in no way held back His imagination and creativity in creating this universe and you and me, and all from nothing! How amazing to bring Him glory in our human creativity.

I graduated in 2012 with a first class fine art degree, an award for experimentation in colour, and a graduate residency the subsequent year. Life got in the way after my degree and painting took a back seat until my itchy fingers couldn't hold back anymore - this time in the realms of illustration.

Fast forward to now and my business is fed by my love of colour, of children's books, and making people smile.

In the past year I have had my first book cover deal with WW Norton Books NY, designed visitor maps for two local visitor attractions, been a regular illustrator for a regular church magazine and their online Easter and Christmas Campaigns. I've illustrated the redesign for some children's learning resources. Everyday is a school day! And I've become a Co on Holly + Co!

I don't have a bricks and mortar shop but I work from home in a purpose made studio selling online, illustrating for clients and publications and selling at markets - where I absolutely love a chat!

I am so excited to be a part of Christian Makers with gorgeous likeminded makers, each using our gifts to serve our families and our customers, and bringing God glory through our God-given creativity.

Shipping Policy

All orders are carefully packed and shipped in board back envelopes within 1-3 days of ordering with the exception of personalised or commissioned pieces as detailed in the listing page. Recyclable and sustainable materials are used where possible.

Returns Policy

Returns accepted within 14 days of delivery for all products except for personalised gifts. Please get in touch first to arrange a return.
