Meet the Maker

Hi everyone, I’m Katie – the person behind Squiggle and Bean!

I am born and bred just outside of Brighton, where I still live with my husband and our children. By day I work in accountancy, and every spare moment around family life (and the endless clubs and activities that come with older children!) is spent crocheting, creating and running my little business.

My faith is an important part of my life, and we attend a church in Hove that’s part of the St Peter’s family of churches.

When I’m not making toys, I love being by the sea (which probably explains all the beach videos on my stories!), listening to audiobooks, drinking plenty of tea and watching sport. Football is my favourite, but I also love cricket, darts, F1 and rugby.

I’m also a big fan of getting my nails done, buying fun earrings and confusing people with my music taste – there’s usually a bit of noughties rock playing while I crochet!

Squiggle and Bean is my little creative corner, and I love making handmade toys that become part of family life. Thank you so much for supporting my small business.

Shipping Policy

All orders are carefully packaged and dispatched by Royal Mail. Turnaround time is 3-4 weeks from the order being placed due to the items being custom made. They are sent as eco-friendly as possibly, via Royal Mail Tracked48.

Returns Policy

We do not accept returns as the items are custom made, unless the item is damaged.
